Asymmetric Security is the first full-stack AI Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) firm. We respond to cyber attacks and hunt threats for our customers, using AI tools we build in-house to enable deeper, faster, and more cost effective investigations. Our initial focus is on email incidents. Drawing on the real-world incidents we investigate, we build realistic evaluations and reinforcement learning environments to advance our own AI cyberdefense capabilities and those of frontier AI labs.
Defensive security operations will radically change in a world with abundant intelligence. Today’s security operations centers are facing a shortage of analytic capacity: of the thousands of alerts that come in, most receive only surface-level review, and only a tiny fraction can be investigated deeply. We believe deep investigations (i.e., digital forensics), once automated, will become ubiquitous—dramatically reducing the number of genuine attacks that go undetected.
We raised a $4.2M pre-seed, led by Chad Byers, founding GP of Susa Ventures, with participation from Matt Clifford, Geoff Ralston, Charlie Songhurst, and AI and security leaders from Anthropic and Google DeepMind.
